U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED for Homes
Plantation Homes builds to the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED for Homes certification
across the greater Dallas/Fort Worth, TX market. As part of McGuyer Homebuilders,
Inc. and MHI Partnership, Ltd. (MHI), Plantation Homes is one of three distinct
brands including Coventry Homes and Carmel Builders which will combine to build
approximately 300 homes in the DFW market making MHI the largest builder of single-family
LEED homes in Texas.
The U.S. Green Building Council's LEED for Homes is a certification system that
promotes the design and construction of high-performance green homes which uses
less energy and water and fewer natural resources; creates less waste; and is healthier
and more comfortable for the occupants. For more information about LEED for Homes,
